TrackTracer shows you the history Windows quietly keeps: files you opened, USB drives you plugged in, programs that start on their own, and Wi-Fi networks your PC has saved. It only reads and reports. It never changes or deletes anything.
1. Tick the things you want to see, then click Download TrackTracer.
2. Open your Downloads folder and double-click TrackTracer.cmd.
3. If Windows shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" box, click More info, then Run anyway. This appears because the file is free and unsigned. It is a plain text file: you can open it in Notepad first and read every line it runs.

Windows shows that warning for any downloaded program that has not paid for a code-signing certificate. It is not a sign that this tool is unsafe. TrackTracer is plain text: click Show me exactly what this runs on the main page, or open the downloaded file in Notepad, to read it before running.
No. TrackTracer makes no network connections. It reads local Windows history, writes one HTML file to your Desktop, and opens it. Nothing is uploaded, and no administrator rights are required. Some USB history may be limited without administrator rights; the report says so where that happens.
